Lucas Literacy Lab is a growing microschool that nurtures curiosity, creativity, and a love of learning for children ages 6–12. We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Math Teacher to join our team and guide students through hands-on, discovery-based learning in a small, supportive environment.
What You’ll Do
- Teach math to multi-age groups (Ages 6–12) in an engaging, interactive, and differentiated way.
- Support individualized learning, ensuring each student develops a strong foundation and confidence in math.
- Use creative approaches (games, projects, manipulatives, real-world applications) to make math come alive.
- Collaborate with the Director and staff to align lessons with our holistic, student-centered philosophy.
- Foster a classroom atmosphere that reflects our values: care, connection, and community.
Qualifications
- Experience teaching math to children ages 6–12 (school, tutoring, or enrichment setting).
- Strong understanding of math concepts from early elementary through middle school levels.
- Ability to differentiate instruction for diverse learners.
- Passion for progressive, relationship-based education.
- Bachelor’s degree in Education, Math, or related field.
