About Us:

ALPHA Hybrid Academy is a microschool serving students in grades 6-11 with a focus on empowering student-athletes and student leaders with customized education, leadership development, and life skills to excel in and out of the classroom. Our mission is to provide a flexible, academically rigorous, and personalized education for middle and high school student-athletes and student-leaders, enabling them to achieve their academic and athletic goals.

Duties

Core Expectations

· Facilitating Learning: Creating engaging and effective learning experiences in both in-person and online environments.

· Curriculum Implementation: Delivering the established curriculum with fidelity, adapting as needed to meet student needs and the hybrid format.

· Assessment and Feedback: Designing and administering formative and summative assessments, providing timely and constructive feedback to students and parents.

· Student Support: Providing academic, social, and emotional support to students, guiding them through the challenges and opportunities of hybrid learning.

· Communication: Maintaining regular and effective communication with students, parents, and colleagues through various channels (e.g., email, learning management system, in-person meetings).

· Professional Development: Engaging in ongoing professional development to enhance teaching skills, especially in the areas of online pedagogy and technology integration.

· Collaboration: Working collaboratively with other faculty members, support staff, and administrators to ensure a cohesive and supportive learning environment.

· Adherence to Policies: Following school policies and procedures.

Qualifications

· Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college

· Current or previous teaching certificate, multiple subject areas perferred

· At least 3 years of previous experience teaching at either the middle school or secondary school level

· Master’s or doctoral degree can be utilized instead of a teaching certificate

· Previous experience working with student-athletes or student-leaders preferred i.e. coaching or club leadership

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $25.00 - $35.00 per hour

Expected hours: 9 – 15 per week
