Job Overview
We are seeking energetic and compassionate Part-Time Medical Technicians (Med Techs) to join our dedicated healthcare team. In this vital role, you will provide high-quality patient care and support clinical staff in a variety of settings, including assisted living communities, nursing homes, hospitals, and home care environments. Your expertise will help ensure residents and patients receive personalized, respectful, and effective care. This position offers flexible hours for those passionate about making a positive impact on individuals’ lives while gaining valuable experience in the healthcare field.

Duties

  • Assist with daily patient and resident care activities, including medication administration, vital signs monitoring, and hygiene assistance
  • Support nursing staff with medical documentation using Electronic Medical Record (EMR) or Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems such as Epic or Cerner
  • Help manage specialized care needs such as Alzheimer's, dementia, memory care, hospice, and other senior care services
  • Perform routine clinical tasks like catheter care, tube feeding, and administering medications following HIPAA guidelines and medical protocols
  • Observe and report changes in patient condition, ensuring accurate documentation of medical records and progress notes
  • Assist with activities of daily living for individuals with developmental disabilities or disabilities requiring home & community care experience
  • Maintain a safe environment by following infection control procedures and adhering to healthcare regulations

Requirements

  • Prior experience in assisted living facilities, nursing homes, hospitals, or home health care preferred
  • Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology and basic nursing practices including vital signs measurement and medication administration
  • Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems such as Epic or Cerner is highly desirable
  • Ability to work effectively with individuals with disabilities or cognitive impairments like Alzheimer's disease or dementia
  • Strong understanding of HIPAA regulations to ensure confidentiality of patient information
  • Excellent communication skills to collaborate with healthcare teams and family members
  • Certification as a Medical Technician (Med Tech) or equivalent is preferred; willingness to obtain necessary certifications if not already held

Pay: $18.00 - $19.00 per hour
