Part-Time Medical Assistant

Regional Brain & Spine is a leading provider of specialized neurosurgery, pain management and physical medicine and rehabilitation care in Southeast Missouri. We're currently hiring a Medical Assistant to support our dynamic clinical team. This position is ideal for candidates with prior experience in a medical office, or those with backgrounds as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) or Phlebotomist looking to transition into a medical office environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with patient rooming and discharges during clinic visits
• Update patient charts and information in Electronic Health Records (EHR)
• Triage and respond to incoming phone messages professionally
• Schedule and manage patient appointments
• Coordinate insurance prior authorizations as needed

Qualifications

• Experience as a Medical Assistant, CNA or Phlebotomist (preferred)
• Knowledge of insurance processes and prior authorizations
• Proficiency with EHR systems (preferred)
• Experience with DEXA imaging is preferred; however, training may be provided for the right candidate
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Ability to work independently and with a team

Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour

Expected hours: 25.0 – 30.0 per week
