About Us: Physicians Urgent Care is dedicated to providing high-quality, compassionate, and timely care to patients in our community. With a state-of-the-art facility and a team of highly skilled healthcare professionals, we are committed to addressing a wide range of urgent health issues. We are currently seeking a motivated and skilled part time Medical Assistant to join our dynamic team. We have four clinic locations open 7 days a week, with shifts ranging from 10 to 12 hours.

Position: Part Time Medical Assistant

Job Type: Part Time

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist healthcare professionals in providing direct patient care in a fast-paced urgent care setting.
• Perform clinical tasks including taking vital signs, administering injections, performing EKGs, and assisting with minor procedures.
• Collect and prepare laboratory specimens for testing.
• Perform basic laboratory tests on the premises including phlebotomy.
• Prepare and maintain examination/treatment rooms, including inventory of supplies and equipment.
• Ensure strict compliance with infection control policies and procedures.
• Work collaboratively with the healthcare team to facilitate a smooth and efficient patient care process.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in an urgent care, emergency room, or similar fast-paced healthcare setting.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with patients and healthcare team members.
• Strong organizational and multitasking skills, with a high level of attention to detail.
• Ability to work efficiently in a high-pressure environment.
• Basic computer skills and proficiency with electronic medical records (EMR) systems.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

Pay: Starting at $19/hour based on experience.
