Job Summary:
We are seeking a responsible, motivated, and reliable Medical Assistant to join our podiatry practice. This role is perfect for a versatile professional who can balance high-quality clinical support with efficient front-office administration. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, HIPAA compliant, and dedicated to providing excellent patient care.
Key Responsibilities Clinical Support:
- Patient Intake: Prep digital charts in the EMR by accurately entering patient medical history. Perform vitals, room patients.
- Treatment Assistance: Explain treatment procedures to patients as needed to ensure they are comfortable and informed.
- Podiatric Standards: Arrange and stock exam room to podiatrist standards and sterilize medical instruments and equipment.
- Medical Records: Handle faxing records, performing chart audits, and scanning/importing documents into the EMR system.
Administrative & Front Office:
- Patient Coordination: Greet patients, manage the check-in and check-out process, and answer multi-line phones.
- Scheduling: Manage the provider’s schedule and coordinate patient appointments.
- Insurance & Billing: Verify insurance coverage, explain balances, collect co-pays, and assist the billing department as needed.
- Office Support: Perform data entry, attend team meetings, and communicate effectively with management.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Availability: Must be available to work 24 hours a week to start & build up to 32+ hours weekly, Monday through Friday.
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent (Required).
- Certification: CMA (Certified Medical Assistant) or RMA (Registered Medical Assistant) preferred.
- Technical Skills:
- Experience with Aprima EMR /AMBI AI, is highly preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (1 year preferred).
- Professional Skills:
- Strong manual dexterity and attention to detail.
- Excellent customer service and organizational skills.
- Full knowledge of HIPAA compliance and industry standards.Job Details & Benefits
