Part-Time Mental Health & Substance Use Therapist, Offering Supervision

MJB Holistic And Therapeutic Services LLC. is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Part-Time Therapist to join our growing practice. We are a family-owned and operated mental health organization committed to providing high-quality behavioral health services to individuals, families, and underserved communities.

Our practice specializes in medication management for substance use treatment while also serving a significant population of school-age children and adolescents experiencing anxiety, behavioral concerns, and mood-related disorders.

Position Summary

The therapist will provide outpatient mental health and/or substance use counseling services primarily through telehealth, with occasional in-person sessions required based on client needs. The clinician will work collaboratively within a supportive team environment and maintain appropriate clinical documentation and treatment planning.

Clinical supervision opportunities are available for eligible candidates.

Responsibilities

• Provide individual, family, and/or substance use counseling services
• Conduct assessments and develop treatment plans
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
• Deliver telehealth services using HIPAA-compliant systems
• Collaborate with families, schools, and community providers as appropriate
• Participate in supervision and team meetings
• Conduct occasional in-office sessions when clinically necessary

Preferred Areas of Experience

• Substance use counseling
• Child and adolescent therapy
• Anxiety disorders
• Mood disorders, including bipolar disorder
• Trauma-informed care
• Family-focused interventions

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, or related behavioral health field
• Licensed or license-eligible in Maryland and/or the District of Columbia preferred
• Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills
• Ability to work independently in a remote setting
• Commitment to ethical and culturally responsive care
