Part time Music and/or Art teacher

Duties

• Develop and implement comprehensive curriculum plans that incorporate music, art, and even theater, dance, culinary arts, sewing, photography, and other creative disciplines
• Deliver engaging lessons tailored to different age groups, including preschoolers, children, and adults in both classroom and workshop settings
• Manage classroom behavior effectively to create a safe, inclusive, and motivating learning atmosphere
• Provide individualized tutoring and support to students with varying skill levels and learning needs
• Incorporate elements of special education and childhood development principles into lesson planning
• Organize performances, exhibitions, or showcases to highlight student achievements in various artistic disciplines
• Maintain organized records of lesson plans, student progress, and classroom activities while ensuring compliance with safety standards

Requirements

• Proven experience in teaching or tutoring within arts-related fields such as music, visual arts, theater, dance (including ballet), or culinary arts
• Strong background in curriculum development and lesson planning across multiple disciplines
• Classroom management skills with the ability to foster positive behavior and engagement among students of all ages
• Experience working with children in early childhood education or preschool settings is highly desirable
• Knowledge of behavior management techniques and childhood development principles
• Ability to adapt teaching methods for students with special needs or diverse learning styles
• Skills in photography, sewing, or other creative crafts are a plus
• Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues
