Overview
We are seeking a passionate and energetic Part-Time Music and Art Teacher to inspire creativity and foster artistic growth among students of various ages. Duties
- Develop and implement comprehensive curriculum plans that incorporate music, art, and even theater, dance, culinary arts, sewing, photography, and other creative disciplines
- Deliver engaging lessons tailored to different age groups, including preschoolers, children, and adults in both classroom and workshop settings
- Manage classroom behavior effectively to create a safe, inclusive, and motivating learning atmosphere
- Provide individualized tutoring and support to students with varying skill levels and learning needs
- Incorporate elements of special education and childhood development principles into lesson planning
- Organize performances, exhibitions, or showcases to highlight student achievements in various artistic disciplines
- Maintain organized records of lesson plans, student progress, and classroom activities while ensuring compliance with safety standards
Requirements
- Proven experience in teaching or tutoring within arts-related fields such as music, visual arts, theater, dance (including ballet), or culinary arts
- Strong background in curriculum development and lesson planning across multiple disciplines
- Classroom management skills with the ability to foster positive behavior and engagement among students of all ages
- Experience working with children in early childhood education or preschool settings is highly desirable
- Knowledge of behavior management techniques and childhood development principles
- Ability to adapt teaching methods for students with special needs or diverse learning styles
- Skills in photography, sewing, or other creative crafts are a plus
- Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues
