Part-Time Nanny (9 & 11) — Full Summer Days + After-School, Alternating Weeks

We're an active, easygoing family looking for a dependable, engaged nanny to help care for our two sons, ages 9 and 11. These are great, busy kids — this role is less about hands-on "babysitting" and more about being a steady, organized presence who keeps their days running, gets them where they need to be, and builds a real relationship with them over time.

What you'll do

  • Supervise the boys and keep their day structured around school, activities, downtime, and play
  • Drive them to and from school, sports, and events
  • Help manage their calendars and stay ahead of what's coming up
  • Support homework, reading, and screen-time limits during the school year
  • Keep shared spaces and activity areas tidy and organized
  • Check in with me regularly on how the boys are doing — activities, behavior, anything that comes up

The schedule

I share joint custody, so this role follows my custody weeks rather than a fixed weekly pattern. Here's how it breaks down:

Summer (full-time on my days): 9am–5pm, with the option to start at 7am on days I need extra hours. Specific summer dates:

  • July 21–24 (4 days)
  • July 27–30 (4 days)
  • Aug 3–7 (5 days)
  • Off Aug 10–12
  • Aug 13–14 (2 days)
  • Aug 17–21 (5 days)
  • Aug 24–28 (5 days)
  • Aug 31 (1 day)

School year (after-school on my weeks): 2–6pm, roughly 20–25 hours/week, two weeks each month (I alternate custody every two weeks). Weekends are not required.

My current nanny leaves at the end of July, so ideally you'd start a week or two before that to overlap and train with both of us.

This role is a strong fit if the alternating, two-weeks-on rhythm works with your life rather than against it — for example, if you have other part-time work, school, or commitments that fill the off weeks. If you need consistent full-time hours year-round, this isn't the right one.

What we're looking for

  • Prior experience with school-age kids
  • A valid driver's license and a reliable vehicle (you'll be driving the boys daily)
  • Calm, patient, and a strong communicator
  • Organized and proactive — comfortable juggling two kids' schedules
  • CPR and First Aid certified, or willing to get certified

Location: Jordanelle / Hideout area, ~10 min from Park City

If this sounds like your kind of role, we'd love to hear from you. Tell us a little about your experience with kids this age and what your current availability looks like.

Pay: $27.00 per hour

Work Location: In person
