Huddle is a childcare app that helps families coordinate and book trusted sitters they already know, while also giving sitters access to additional families through those networks.

Unlike traditional marketplaces, Huddle is built around real relationships and trusted connections, making it easier for sitters to find work with families who are already vetted through community ties.

We’re growing quickly in the Seattle area and are looking to bring on experienced childcare providers who want flexible work, strong families, and consistent opportunities.

About the Role

We are seeking reliable, experienced childcare providers to join the Huddle network (this is not a single-family placement, but access to multiple families through the app).

This role is ideal for sitters, nannies, and childcare professionals who:

• Want flexible, self-directed schedules
• Are open to both one-time and recurring jobs
• Prefer working with trusted families vs. cold marketplace bookings
• Are looking to fill gaps in their schedule with high-quality opportunities

Families on Huddle are actively looking for help with things like:

• Weekday coverage (e.g., school/daycare closures)
• Date nights and weekends
• Backup care and last-minute needs

What We Look For

Strong candidates typically have:

• 2+ years of babysitting, nannying, or childcare experience
• Experience caring for children of different ages (infants through school-age)
• Strong communication skills and a dependable, professional presence
• The ability to adapt to different family routines and environments
• A genuine interest in working with children and supporting families

Responsibilities

• Provide attentive, engaging childcare in a family’s home
• Support daily routines including meals, playtime, and bedtime
• Communicate clearly with parents before, during, and after bookings
• Show up on time and be dependable for scheduled jobs
• Create a safe, positive, and structured environment for children

Requirements

• Prior childcare experience required
• References preferred
• Background check required prior to first booking (we cover the cost)
• CPR certification is a plus
• Reliable transportation preferred

Compensation

• Flexible based on sitter expectations, on average $30–$38 per hour, depending on experience and the type of job
