Part-Time Nanny: Ideal for Teachers College, CUNY Hunter College, or Pace University Student

Part-time nanny wanted for a joyful, social, and curious 6-year-old boy starting kindergarten this fall. Perfect position for an elementary education or teaching student at Teachers College, CUNY Hunter College, Pace University, or other NYC program.

We’re located in Battery Park City with an easy commute via subway or bus. Starting in July, hours are 4:00 pm - 7:30 pm Monday - Friday with one to two evenings until 9:00 pm. During the school year, hours are 2:30 pm - 6:30 pm Monday - Friday with one to two evenings until 8:30 pm (20 hours/week guaranteed year round).

Responsibilities include Upper East Side school pickup a couple times a week or Battery Park City bus stop pickup (between 2:30 pm - 3:30 pm), light laundry, after-school snack, walking to after-school activities and/or play/reading/outdoor time, helping with homework, light meal prep and dinner, starting bedtime routine (bath/shower, pajamas), and lots of warmth, conversation, and connection.

Allergy awareness is critical. One parent has a chronic health condition, so COVID precautions (such as masking indoors in public spaces with the child) are required. The ideal candidate will be proficient in English; speaking Spanish would be a bonus since Spanish will be studied in school. Ideal for an elementary teacher or teaching student, especially one who is kind, cheerful, and dependable. $30–$35/hr depending on experience. Starts early July. Contact us to learn more or apply!
