Part-Time Nanny | Madeira, OH

The family is led by two working professionals, including an Emergency Room physician. Because of the nature of healthcare schedules, applicants should be comfortable with a non-traditional childcare arrangement and occasional scheduling fluctuations.

Guaranteed Hours: 20 hours per week

The family is happy to build many of the children's activities and appointments around the nanny's availability whenever possible.

Pay: Up to $28 per hour DOE

Start Date: ASAP

Known Scheduling Needs:

• Hours outside of weekend scheduling can be scheduled at the Nanny’s discretion.
• Approximately two to three weekend days per month requiring 4–5 hours of coverage
• Weekend dates provided approximately 45 days in advance- sometimes family will not know this far out.
• Hours for weekend coverage can be discussed collaboratively based on the family's needs and the nanny's availability
• Additional opportunity for hours during school breaks and summer
• Additional opportunity for hours two weeks of full-time coverage needed at the end of summer
• Occasional overnight care may be available for interested candidates, but is not required

This role works especially well for someone who values flexibility, enjoys creating their own schedule, and appreciates having advance notice of scheduling needs.

Responsibilities

Childcare Duties

• 2 children; 1 and 5
• Engaging children in creative, age-appropriate activities
• Arts and crafts, outdoor play, library trips, parks, and community outings
• Transporting children to activities such as swim lessons, gymnastics, and appointments
• Encouraging independence, confidence, and healthy social development
• Maintaining a positive and nurturing environment

Family Assistant Duties

• Children's laundry
• Family laundry
• Organizing children's spaces and supplies
• Assisting with scheduling and activity preparation
• Grocery shopping and household errands
• Returns and miscellaneous household tasks

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: Up to $28.00 per hour
