Position Details

Schedule: Mondays, Fridays, and every other Thursday Hours: 7:30 to 7:45 AM arrival, end of day by 5:00 to 5:30 PM Pay: $25.00 to $27.00 per hour, with flexibility for the right candidate Location: Lyndhurst, Ohio

Employment type: Part-time, W-2 household employee

Responsibilities

Provide attentive, engaged care for the child throughout the full shift Follow the family's established daily routine, including meal times, nap time, and play Plan and lead enriching, age-appropriate activities that support development through play Prepare and serve breakfast and snacks Keep the child's spaces tidy throughout the day, including play areas and meal area Handle child-related laundry and light household tasks during nap time Communicate with parents throughout the day via text, including photos and updates Alert parents before taking the child anywhere outside the home Maintain a calm, consistent presence and apply the family's discipline approach with confidence

Qualifications

Minimum three years of professional childcare experience, with hands-on toddler experience strongly preferred

College degree required; background in early childhood education

Current CPR and First Aid certification (BLS level, inclusive of infant and child CPR)

Up-to-date childhood vaccinations, including Tdap and MMR

Clean background check

Non-smoker with no tobacco or nicotine use; must pass a pre-employment drug and nicotine screen

Physically active and energetic, able to keep pace with a large, high-energy toddler throughout the full shift

Reliable and consistent attendance record required

Comfortable working in a home where a parent is present in a home office during the day

Strong communication skills and a proactive approach to keeping parents informed

Schedule:

  • Mondays, Fridays, and every other Thursday
  • 7:30 AM – 5:00/5:30 PM

Pay:
$25–$27/hour (flexible for exceptional candidates)

Start Date: Flexible

About the Role

  • Provide attentive, active care for a high-energy toddler
  • Lead play-based, developmentally appropriate activities
  • Prepare meals/snacks and follow a consistent daily routine
  • Light child-related housekeeping during nap time
  • Send regular updates to parents

One parent works from home. The ideal candidate is comfortable with communication, check-ins, and a collaborative environment.

Preferred:

  • Degree in early childhood or related field
  • Experience with toddlers and play-based learning

Agency Requirements

To be considered for placement, all candidates must meet the following:

  • 18 years of age or older
  • High school diploma or GED (This position prefers a college degree)
  • 3 or more years of professional nannying or early childhood experience. If your resume does not clearly reflect nannying history, please describe that experience in your message.
  • Current First Aid and CPR certification
  • Non-smoker who does not live with a smoker
  • Willingness to complete screening and a background check

Pay: $25.00 - $28.00 per hour
