Part-Time Nanny Rockville Centre

A warm, welcoming family in Rockville Centre is seeking a reliable, engaging after-school nanny to support their 4.5-year-old daughter in the afternoons and assist with their 10-month-old baby as needed.

The children have daytime support from family. This role focuses on afternoon transitions, activities, and keeping the household running smoothly so mom does not come home to a mess.

Mom works in PR and works from home several days a week but has a meeting-heavy schedule and is not available for hands-on care. Both parents occasionally commute to the city.

Responsibilities:

• School pickup occasionally
• Driving to local activities
• Engaging play, games, outdoor time, crafts
• Keeping screen time minimal and encouraging active play
• Assisting with baby as needed in the afternoons
• Preparing snacks and light meal prep for children
• Tidying kitchen, play areas, and children’s spaces
• Ensuring home is reset and organized before parents wrap up work
• Helping transition baby to solids as needed

No deep cleaning required.
No family laundry required.
Primary focus is childcare + keeping things orderly.

• Must LOVE dogs — family has a 55 lb rescue who is very sweet
• Comfortable driving and using family car
• Experience with infants and preschool-aged children
• Energetic, proactive, hands-on personality
• Strong communicator with parents
• Reliable and punctual
• Non-smoker
• Long-term mindset preferred
