Warm & Engaging Part-Time Nanny Needed — Stuyvesant Heights, Brooklyn (3-Year-Old Girl) A thoughtful, welcoming family in Stuyvesant Heights is seeking a warm, dependable, and engaging part-time nanny, with bilingual abilities, for their bright and curious 3-year-old daughter. This is a long-term position for someone who brings positive “big sister” energy, enjoys active play, and values building a meaningful bond with a child and family. SCHEDULE • Part-Time: Monday, Wednesday, Friday • Approximately 8:30 AM – 5:30 PM (27–30 hours/week guaranteed from start date until September 2026) • Schedule will transition to a school-based schedule beginning in September, roughly 20-25 hours a week, with then expanded hours during summer months (35-40 hours per week) • Occasional date nights appreciated but not required COMPENSATION & BENEFITS • $30/hour • Guaranteed hours • 2 weeks paid time off aligned with the family’s vacation schedule. • 1 week paid sick time • Long-term role with potential for schedule adjustments as child grows ABOUT THE ROLE This position centers on attentive, developmentally supportive care for a preschool-aged child. The ideal candidate is proactive, nurturing, organized, and genuinely enjoys engaging young children in meaningful ways throughout the day. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES • Provide attentive, safety-focused care • Plan age-appropriate activities that support learning, creativity, and social development • Encourage outdoor play, exploration, and physical activity • Support routines (meals, rest time, transitions, etc.) • Prepare simple meals and snacks for the child • Maintain tidy play areas and child-related spaces • Communicate regularly with parents regarding the child’s day and development • Foster a warm, respectful, and encouraging environment IDEAL CANDIDATE • Experienced with preschool-aged children • Energetic, patient, and emotionally attuned • Proactive and able to take initiative without constant direction • Collaborative and receptive to family preferences and feedback • Reliable, punctual, and committed to consistency • Comfortable working in a home where a parent may work remotely • “Big sister” energy — playful, kind, and engaging PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (NOT REQUIRED) • Background in early childhood education or child development • Bilingual abilities a plus (especially Korean or Mandarin), other languages a plus • CPR/First Aid certification mandatory ADDITIONAL DETAILS • Live-out position • Family has one friendly medium-sized dog • No travel required • Family values open communication, warmth, and professionalism This is a wonderful opportunity for a nanny seeking a kind, respectful household and a meaningful long-term connection with a growing child.
