A busy professional family in Melville is seeking a high-level house manager / nanny hybrid to help bring structure, consistency, and calm to their home. Both parents have demanding careers with unpredictable schedules, so they need a proactive, organized, and energetic candidate who can confidently manage both childcare and household support.
This is an ideal role for someone who truly enjoys active boys, understands boundaries and routines, and can function as an extension of the parents in creating a well-run, structured household.
Responsibilities:
- After-school care for two active boys
- School pickup for younger child beginning in September ( must use own car )
- Homework help, structure, routines, meal/lunch prep
- Managing school communications, folders, notices, schedules
- Organizing children’s clothing, rotating/donating outgrown items
- General household organization and project support
- Helping create structure, boundaries, and consistency in the home
- Summer support while children attend camp (bus transportation provided)
- Supporting busy parents with household flow and logistics
✨ Requirements:
- Prior nanny experience with active boys required
- Comfortable with structure, routines, boundaries, and behavior guidance
- Must be energetic and physically able to keep up with fast-moving children
- Must have reliable transportation and own vehicle
- House management / family assistant experience strongly preferred
- Strong organizational skills and initiative
- Warm, loving, but confident personality
- Swimming is a plus but not required (pool at home)
- Long-term mindset preferred
