Duties

• Safely operate a box truck for local route driving and deliveries, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations
• Load and unload cargo using manual lifting techniques, pallet jacks, or forklifts when necessary
• Load and secure items properly to prevent damage during transit
• Deliver packages accurately to customers’ locations, providing friendly and professional customer service
• Verify delivery details and obtain signatures or proof of delivery as required
• Conduct routine vehicle inspections before and after shifts to ensure the truck’s safety and cleanliness
• Maintain accurate logs of deliveries, mileage, fuel usage, and any incidents or delays

Skills

• Proven experience as a delivery driver or courier with route driving expertise
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally
• Warehouse experience including load & unload procedures and inventory handling
• Familiarity with operating box trucks, manual transmissions, forklifts, pallet jacks, and heavy lifting techniques
• Knowledge of traffic laws and safe driving practices for commercial vehicles without CDL requirements
• Ability to move items efficiently while maintaining safety standards
• Dependable with excellent time management skills to meet delivery deadlines
