Overview
Join our dynamic healthcare team as a Part-Time Nurse Practitioner, where your expertise will make a meaningful impact on patient care across diverse clinical settings. The Part-Time Nurse Practitioner (NP) provides comprehensive primary and infectious disease care within correctional facilities and through telehealth services. This hybrid role includes onsite clinical services at assigned correctional facilities and remote telehealth follow-up, documentation, case review, and care coordination. The NP will assess, diagnose, treat, and manage acute and chronic conditions while ensuring compliance with correctional health standards, state regulations, and organizational policies. This position requires flexibility, as travel to assigned correctional facilities may be required based on operational needs.
Duties
Clinical Care (Onsite – Correctional Facility)
· Conduct comprehensive medical evaluations and follow-up visits.
· Provide chronic disease management (HIV, Hepatitis C, STDs, hypertension, diabetes, etc.).
· Evaluate and treat acute medical conditions.
· Order and interpret laboratory and diagnostic tests.
· Prescribe medications in accordance with state and facility regulations.
· Initiate and monitor treatment plans for infectious diseases.
· Provide medication bridge planning for continuity of care.
· Document all encounters in the EMR in a timely manner (same day when possible).
Telehealth & Remote Responsibilities
· Conduct telehealth visits for follow-ups and continuity of care.
· Review lab results and communicate findings to patients.
· Coordinate post-release care and referrals.
· Respond to facility or nursing staff clinical inquiries.
· Complete documentation, chart reviews, and compliance audits remotely.
Collaboration & Compliance
· Work collaboratively with correctional facility medical staff, RNs, LPNs, and case managers.
· Ensure compliance with:
o NCCHC standards (if applicable)
o State nursing regulations
o Correctional facility protocols
o Organizational clinical SOPs
· Participate in quality improvement initiatives.
· Assist in reviewing and implementing clinical workflows.
· Participate in case review meetings as requested

· Ability to work within secured correctional facilities.
· Ability to sit for extended periods during telehealth sessions.
· Compliance with facility security requirements.
Required Experience
· Active and unrestricted Florida ARNP license.
· National board certification (FNP, AGNP, or related).
· Active DEA license.
· Minimum 2 years clinical experience as NP.
· Strong knowledge of chronic disease management.
· Experience with EMR systems.
· Ability to work independently in structured correctional environments.
Preferred Qualifications
· Correctional health experience.
· HIV, Hepatitis C, or infectious disease management experience.
· Telehealth experience.
· Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.
Schedule & Hybrid Structure
· Part-time: 16–24 hours per week (flexible based on facility needs).
· Combination of:
o Onsite clinic days at assigned correctional facility
o Remote telehealth and administrative work
· Travel may be required to designated facilities
