Part Time Occupational Therapist

We are seeking a passionate Occupational Therapist to join our growing multidisciplinary team specializing in neurologic rehabilitation. You'll have the opportunity to work closely with physical therapists, speech-language pathologists, patients, and caregivers to help individuals overcome challenges related to neurologic conditions and achieve meaningful goals.

What You'll Do

  • Evaluate and treat adults with neurologic and functional impairments
  • Develop individualized treatment plans focused on meaningful participation and independence
  • Address deficits related to:
  • Parkinson's Disease
  • Stroke
  • Concussion
  • Traumatic Brain Injury
  • Multiple Sclerosis
  • Vestibular Disorders
  • Functional Neurological Disorders
  • Balance and Fall Risk
  • Cognitive Impairments
  • Upper Extremity Dysfunction
  • Visual and Perceptual Deficits
  • Train patients in activities of daily living (ADLs) and instrumental activities of daily living (IADLs)
  • Implement cognitive, visual, and motor rehabilitation strategies
  • Provide caregiver education and home program development
  • Collaborate with PTs and SLPs to deliver coordinated care
  • Complete timely and accurate documentation
  • Participate in team meetings and professional development opportunities

Qualifications Required

  • Master's or Doctoral Degree in Occupational Therapy
  • Licensed or eligible for licensure in New York State
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team

Preferred

  • Experience treating neurologic populations
  • Certification or training in:
  • PWR!
  • Parkinson's Disease Management
  • Cognitive Rehabilitation
  • Vision Rehabilitation
  • Vestibular Rehabilitation
  • Functional Neurological Disorder Treatment
  • Experience with upper extremity rehabilitation and neuroplasticity-based interventions
  • Interest in community reintegration and wellness programming
