Part-Time Office Assistant - Maritime Industry (Shelter Island)

Part-Time Office Assistant
Schedule:
Monday & Wednesday, 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM
Additional hours may be available when the Office Manager is out

Position Overview
We are seeking a reliable, detail-oriented Part-Time Office Assistant to support daily office operations. This role works closely with the Office Manager and Fuel Dock Manager and is ideal for someone who learns quickly and enjoys a variety of administrative tasks.

Key Responsibilities
Answer and route incoming phone calls

Enter sales, credit card, and cash tickets into the Sage accounting system

Finalize and balance daily sales envelopes

Enter accounts payable invoices as needed

Assist with monthly statement mailings and email communications

Provide general administrative support to the Office Manager and Fuel Dock Manager

Ideal Qualifications
Strong attention to detail and ability to learn quickly

Reliable, punctual, and dependable transportation

Previous bookkeeping experience (Sage or QuickBooks preferred)

Prior experience in the maritime industry is a plus
