Part-Time Online English Teacher (Speaking & Reading)

We are seeking experienced and passionate Part-Time Online English Teachers to provide speaking and reading instruction to students in China aged 5–14 years old.

This is a fully remote, flexible part-time position ideal for private school teachers, public school teachers, homeschool educators, or retired teachers who enjoy working with young learners.

Our goal is to help students improve their spoken English, reading comprehension, pronunciation, and confidence through engaging and interactive lessons.

Teaching materials may be provided, and teachers are encouraged to create engaging and supportive learning environments.

Responsibilities

• Teach online English speaking and reading lessons to students aged 5–14
• Help students improve pronunciation, fluency, and reading comprehension
• Create engaging and supportive learning environments
• Provide feedback to students to support continuous improvement
• Conduct lessons using Zoom or similar online platforms
• Follow lesson materials or adapt lessons based on student level
• Maintain punctuality and professional communication
• Build positive relationships with students and encourage participation

Requirements

• Fluent English Speaker with clear pronunciation (U.S.-based preferred)
• 2+ years of teaching or tutoring experience preferred
• Experience teaching elementary or middle school students
• Private school or public school teaching experience strongly preferred
• Retired teachers are welcome to apply
• TESOL / TEFL certification is a plus (not required)
• Comfortable teaching online
• Patient, reliable, and enthusiastic about working with children
• Strong communication skills
• Able to work during U.S. Pacific afternoon or evening hours

(China evening time)

Typical teaching hours:

• U.S. Pacific Time: 4:00 PM – 9:00 PM
• Flexible scheduling available
• Approximately 5–10 hours per week
