Duties

• Develop and implement child-directed and age-appropriate curricula that promote early childhood education principles.
• Through observation and assessment, you will plan and execute engaging curriculum that cater to diverse learning styles and developmental needs.
• Manage classroom behavior through positive reinforcement strategies and effective behavior management techniques.
• Foster a safe, inclusive environment that supports child welfare and promotes emotional well-being.
• Collaborate with parents and guardians to communicate progress, address concerns, and support early intervention strategies when needed.
• Be able to positively and respectfully collaborate and communicate with your co-teacher to meet the needs of your students and families.
• Utilize observation and assessment tools to monitor students' interests and tailor instruction accordingly.
• Maintain organized classroom environments conducive to learning and child safety while managing classroom supplies effectively.

Qualifications

• Prior experience working with children in preschool or daycare settings is highly preferred.
• Knowledge of childhood development milestones and early intervention strategies.
• Strong communication skills for effective interaction with children, parents, colleagues, and community partners.
• Experience with child-directed curriculum development, collaboration with teaching partner, classroom management, and behavior management techniques.
• Familiarity with special education needs and inclusive teaching practices is a plus.
• BA or BS in education or similar is required.
• Certification or training in early childhood education is desirable but not mandatory.
• Ability to work either part-time or full-time hours with flexibility to meet the needs of the classroom schedule.

Pay: $28.89 - $40.00 per hour
