Hope’s Destiny is a leading outpatient Substance Use Disorder (SUD) and mental health treatment program located in Horsham, PA serving both adolescents and adults. Our mission is to provide comprehensive, compassionate, and evidence-based care to individuals struggling with substance abuse and co-occurring mental health disorders.


Job Overview: We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate psychiatrist to join our multidisciplinary team. The psychiatrist will play a key role in the assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of individuals with mental health and co-occurring substance use disorders. Responsibilities include conducting psychiatric evaluations, providing ongoing medication management (med checks), and developing individualized treatment plans. This role also involves active collaboration with therapists, nurses, and support staff, including regular participation in team meetings to support clinical decision-making and ensure integrated, holistic care for our clients. This role is currently part-time, up to 10 hours per week.


Responsibilities:

    • Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations to assess mental health needs and co-occurring substance use disorders, forming the foundation for individualized treatment planning.

    • Provide ongoing medication management, including prescribing and monitoring psychotropic medications, to support stabilization and recovery.

    • Collaborate with therapists, counselors, and other members of the clinical team to ensure integrated, client-centered care.

    • Participate in staff meetings, case conferences, and treatment planning sessions to support team cohesion and clinical alignment.

    • Contribute to a supportive treatment environment by offering psychiatric expertise and guidance to both staff and clients.

    • Maintain compliance with clinical documentation standards, ensuring timely and accurate records in accordance with organizational and regulatory policies.

    • Engage in ongoing professional development and stay current with advancements in psychiatric and addiction medicine.


Qualifications:

  • Completed at least 3 years of residency in psychiatry

  • Licensed to practice medicine in the state of Pennsylvania

  • DEA registration for prescribing controlled substances.

  • Board certification in Psychiatry

  • ASAM certification preferred

  • Strong diagnostic and assessment skills, with the ability to formulate comprehensive treatment plans.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.

  • Compassion, empathy, and a commitment to providing high-quality care to individuals facing addiction and mental health challenges.


Work Environment:
The psychiatrist will work in an outpatient setting, with the option to provide services virtually, in person, or through a hybrid model based on client and program needs. This role is part of a collaborative, multidisciplinary team dedicated to treating individuals with co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders. Some evening hours may be required to support client schedules. The psychiatrist will report to the Clinical Supervisor or Executive Director and will have access to ongoing professional development, consultation, and opportunities for leadership within the organization.
