Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Paralegal to join our team on a part-time or contract basis. The ideal candidate will have strong family law experience, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, client-centered setting.

You’ll work closely with our attorneys to support case management, draft pleadings, prepare discovery, and communicate with clients and the court. This position offers flexible scheduling and the opportunity to work both remotely and in-office (depending on experience and firm needs).

Key Responsibilities:

• Draft and prepare family law pleadings, declarations, discovery, and related documents
• Assist with case management, calendaring, and filing (including e-filing)
• Communicate with clients, courts, and opposing counsel in a professional manner
• Organize and maintain case files and exhibits
• Prepare trial binders and hearing materials
• Conduct legal research and summarize findings as needed

Qualifications:

• Minimum 2+ years of family law paralegal experience (California preferred)
• Strong understanding of California family law procedures and court rules
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage deadlines independently
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and common legal software (e.g., Essential Forms, Xspouse and similar)
• Paralegal certificate or equivalent experience required

Compensation & Schedule:

• Competitive hourly rate based on experience
• Part-time / contract (flexible hours; approx. 10–20 hours per week)
