Roseland Bookkeeping & Tax is growing, and we’re looking for a reliable and experienced Payroll Specialist to join our team part-time. This role is perfect for someone detail-oriented who understands payroll compliance and enjoys supporting small businesses.
Responsibilities:
- Process payroll using platforms such as QuickBooks Payroll, ADP, Paychex, and Gusto
- Prepare and file quarterly payroll reports (941, DE9, DE9C, etc.)
- Handle workers’ compensation reporting and assist with audits
- Manage both digital and manual timecard tracking
- Process and submit 401(k) contributions and CalSavers reporting
- Handle child support payments and related compliance
- Ensure compliance with federal and California payroll laws
- Assist with general HR-related tasks and payroll best practices
Qualifications:
- Experience with multiple payroll platforms (QuickBooks, ADP, Paychex, Gusto required)
- Strong understanding of payroll taxes and compliance
- Experience with workers’ comp audits and reporting
- Familiar with retirement plans (401k, CalSavers)
- Knowledge of HR basics and labor law requirements
- Organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple clients
