Part time periodontist/ oral surgeon

Overview
Join our dynamic dental team as a Part-Time Periodontist/Oral Surgeon!

The main goal will be to place implants, extractions and ridge preservation, ridge augmentation, gum grafting, wisdom teeth extractions, and other advanced surgical dental procedures.

We are currently referring out 10+ advanced surgical procedures a month, that would be kept in house with a part time oral surgeon/ periodontist

Initially, we are looking for 1-2 days a month, with potential of more growth.

What you’ll do

• Perform periodontal assessments and develop tailored treatment plans for patients.
• Conduct oral surgeries, including dental extractions and root canal therapy, ensuring patient comfort throughout the process.
• Utilize four-handed dentistry techniques to enhance efficiency and patient experience during procedures.
• Maintain accurate medical documentation and medical records in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to provide comprehensive care, including pediatric dentistry when necessary.
• Implement infection control protocols and aseptic techniques to ensure a safe treatment environment.
• Engage with patients to educate them on oral health practices and preventive care.

Basic qualifications

• Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) or Doctor of Medicine in Dentistry (DMD) degree from an accredited institution.
• Valid state dental license with specialty training in periodontics or oral surgery.

Preferred qualifications

• Proficiency in dental software such as Epic, Eaglesoft, or Dentrix.
• Experience in pediatric dentistry and general dentistry practices.
• Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, and medical terminology.
• Familiarity with medical imaging techniques and dental fabrication processes.
• Previous experience in a dental clinic or office setting is highly desirable.
