Part-Time Pet Care Associate & Business Assistant

Hours: 10–20 hours per week
Location: Ocean County, primarily between Toms River and Manahawkin
Schedule: Mostly weekday daytime hours with occasional evenings & weekends
Compensation: $17/hour base + monthly tips + mileage reimbursement
Pay Schedule: Weekly
Employment Type: 1099 Independent Contractor

We’re looking for a responsible, dog-loving individual to join a growing pet care business. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys spending time with animals, being active during the day, and working independently while supporting a small business.
You’ll spend most of your time caring for dogs in their homes through walks and drop-in visits, while also helping with light administrative tasks that keep the business running smoothly.

For someone interested in learning more about how a small business operates, there will also be opportunities to gain exposure to business operations and accounting.

What You'll Do:
Pet Care

• Travel to client homes to care for dogs
• Provide dog walks and drop-in visits to let dogs out and give them attention
• Perform occasional evening visits
• Ensure pets are safe, happy, and well cared for
• Represent the business professionally while interacting with clients

Administrative Support (will train)

• Enter and track business expenses (QuickBooks)
• Client outreach
• Social media marketing (interest in TikTok, Facebook, Instagram a plus but not required)
• Assist with light administrative or operational tasks as neededWhat We're Looking For
