Job Title: Part-Time Pet Caretaker/Dog Walker

Job Description: Walk Your Doggo LLC (WYD) is seeking a reliable and enthusiastic part-time Pet Concierge to join our team, hiring immediately. This role involves dog walking, drop-in pet visits, and additional marketing/event responsibilities. The ideal candidate MUST be available weekdays from 10-3 pm (shifts vary but this is busiest time) and must be able to work 1-2 weekends per month. Some evening hours may also be available a few times per month (4-8 pm). Ideal candidate will be very friendly and outgoing, with a keen eye for details.

Key Responsibilities:

Pet Care (90% of role):

• Walk dogs of various sizes and breeds, ensuring their safety and well-being (1-3 dogs at a time).
• Safely transport dogs to and from their homes when necessary.
• Provide clean water, food and medication as required, and ensure the pet is secure in its home, including cats.
• Seek immediate veterinary attention if any dog/cat/pet becomes sick or injured while under your care.
• Conduct consultations with new clients.
• Record detailed information about each service, including behavior and any unusual observations.
• Pick up and dispose of pet waste.
• Bring in packages for clients.
• Ensure the safety and security of each client's home.
• Provide regular updates to clients, including photos, videos, and locations.
• Notify owners if dogs become sick or injured before, during, or after walks.
• Dress in uniform and be respectful, courteous, and outgoing.

Marketing/Event Responsibilities (10% of role):

• Represent WYD as a company ambassador at events and in vendor partnerships, including setup, activation, and teardown.
• Engage with the public and accurately convey WYD products and services to prospective clients.
• Answer questions regarding WYD products and services.
• Dress in uniform and be respectful, courteous, and outgoing.
• Earn additional pay commission at events for all newly signed-up clients, along with the hourly rate.

Compensation:

• $14 Hour + tips, averaging $19+ per hour.
• $13.00 per hour during training (1 week), online staff meetings and events.
• Salary paid via direct deposit bi-weekly.
• Holiday pay.

Hours:

• 7-15 hours per week with the opportunity to grow into more.
• Expected hours first 3 months 10 per week.

Requirements:

• College degree preferred/high school diploma necessary.
• Pass a thorough criminal background check.
• Pass a pet caretaker CPR/First Aid class (supplied by WYD).
• Take ongoing online training courses periodically.
• Wear the WYD uniform daily (supplied by WYD).
• Bank account for direct deposit.
• Knowledge of how to use the WYD app to complete services and communicate with clients (training provided).
• Valid driver’s license, clean driving record, car registered to you and car insurance in your name.
• Have the appropriate documents to complete new hire paperwork (I-9, etc). This may include DL, SS card, Birth Certificate, Passport, etc.)
• Maintain a clean, professional looking vehicle.
• Proficient in taking photos and videos for marketing purposes.
• VERY outgoing and easy to work with.
• Patient and calm while working with pets.
• Proven experience working with dogs and knowledge of positive reinforcement training.
• Sound understanding of dog behavior.
• Ability to walk dogs (including large breeds 60-100 lbs) during peak walking times and for long periods (up to 60 minutes) year-round (in all weather conditions).
• Punctual, reliable, trustworthy, and passionate about pets.
• Self-starter and very responsible.
