Position Overview

Comfy Cozy Home Pet Services LLC is seeking a reliable, compassionate, and professional Pet Sitter & Dog Walker to join our team on a part-time basis. This role requires daytime availability during standard business hours and involves providing exceptional care for clients’ pets through dog walks, drop-in visits, pet sitting, and occasional pet transportation if needed.

Additional availability may be needed for overnight stays and evening pet care visits between the hours of 6:00 PM and 7:00 AM.

The ideal candidate is dependable, physically active, experienced with animals, and has reliable transportation. This position is perfect for someone who genuinely loves animals and enjoys working independently while delivering excellent client service.

Responsibilities

• Provide dog walking services for dogs of various sizes, breeds, and temperaments
• Perform drop-in visits for feeding, potty breaks, companionship, and basic care
• Provide in-home pet sitting services as scheduled
• Provide overnight pet sitting and evening care visits when needed
• Safely handle large and energetic dogs
• Follow all client care instructions carefully and accurately
• Administer basic medications if needed (preferred)
• Provide visit updates, photos, and communication with clients
• Maintain professionalism while entering and working in client homes
• Respond calmly and appropriately during pet emergencies
• Occasionally transport pets if necessary (vet visits, grooming appointments, etc.)
• Maintain schedule reliability and punctuality

Requirements

• Prior professional experience in pet sitting and/or dog walking required
• Daytime availability Monday through Friday
• Part-time availability with flexible scheduling
• Additional availability for overnight stays and evening visits between 6:00 PM and 7:00 AM as needed
• Reliable personal vehicle required
• Valid driver’s license and current auto insurance required
• Preferably a vehicle with adequate space for pet transportation if needed
• Comfortable walking multiple dogs per day in various weather conditions
• Ability to walk long distances and remain physically active throughout the day
• Ability to lift at least 50 lbs
• Comfortable handling dogs of all sizes and energy levels
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Dependable, trustworthy, and punctual
• Able to pass background and reference checks

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience administering pet medications
• Pet First Aid and CPR certification
• Veterinary, shelter, kennel, or rescue experience
• Experience working with reactive, senior, or special-needs pets
• Weekend or holiday availability (optional but appreciated)

Compensation

Compensation based on experience and responsibilities.
