We are looking for an empathic and service-minded salaried part-time Physician partner to join our Patheous team!

This is a perfect opportunity for Physicians, NPs, or PAs seeking flexible, low-risk, part-time employment! No nights, weekends, holidays, or on-call! Only 1-2 days/ week!

Patheous Health is an industry-leading portable swallowing diagnostic health care company which provides on-site diagnostic swallowing services at area skilled nursing facilities and hospitals. We are pioneering an Integrated Dysphagia Healthcare (iDH) platform and a growth strategy that brings comprehensive services and solutions for dysphagia healthcare to the senior, adult and pediatric populations.

The Physician works as part of our 3-person team conducting swallow studies. This role is responsible for assessing each patient’s general medical status prior to the study and operating the x-ray equipment during the study (training and CMEs in Radiation safety and operation provided). The mobile 3-person team consists of a licensed Speech Language Pathologist and Driver/Technician.

Physician Responsibilities:

• Perform patient history and physical to ensure study can be conducted
• Interact positively with patients and client staff
• Operate portable fluoroscopy equipment (training provided, CMEs provided for training)
• Document information accurately with tablet
• Comply with company policies and procedures
• Adhere to Medicare guidelines
• Interact positively with patients and client staff
• Work effectively and efficiently with other team members

Physician Qualifications:

• MD or DO (ANY specialty area) licensed to practice in NC is required
• Medicare and Medicaid certified or eligible
• Ability to pass a background check
• Demonstrated good organization, time management, and communication skills
• Board certified Radiologist or ENT a plus

Schedule:

• 1-3 days/week Monday-Friday
• Typical hours are 8:00am to 4:30 pm
