Part-Time Propane & Fuel Delivery Driver

Do you have extra time in the evenings or weekends? Decatur Cooperative Association in Isabel, Kansas, is hiring for a Part Time Propane & Fuel Delivery Driver (short haul). We are seeking a dedicated individual who is self-motivated and holds or is willing to obtain a valid Class B CDL, with HAZMAT and Tanker Endorsements. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Maintains or willing to obtain a valid Class B CDL driver's license and a valid HAZMAT and Tanker Endorsement
• Accurately and timely delivers fuel and propane
• Transportation of loads from fuel terminal to customer or company locations
• Adhere to all company safety standards and procedures and will encourage others to behave in a safe manner
• Ensures that the company trucks are maintained properly and that all scheduled maintenance is performed including daily inspections
• Self-motivated and be able to take action in solving problems while using reason and common sense
• Coordinates deliveries
• Monitors inventory of fuel and propane
• Flushes fuel truck as needed
• Complete all reports and logs as required
• Manages records by writing sales tickets and receipts, maintaining customer records (current and prospective) in route book, and maintaining truck log per DOT regulations
• Communicates concerns regarding customer payments with managers.
• Operates vehicles and trucks in a safe manner and maintains a good driving record
• Responsible for upkeep and repairs for truck and reports any issues to management
• Handles multiple priorities and interruptions with patience and professional communication.
• Promotes teamwork and successfully communicates with various departments and ability to work individually as needed.
• Effectively and professionally communicates by verbal and written means with customers, employees, and management.
• Responsible for understanding and complying with all state and federal regulations pertaining to a safe workplace, housekeeping, and all activities that require regulation compliance.
• Attends safety and training meetings.

Pay: $23.77 - $28.62 per hour
