About the Role
We are seeking a compassionate, board-certified Psychiatrist to join our multidisciplinary team. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality psychiatric evaluations, diagnoses, and treatment plans for patients experiencing mental health disorders. This role involves both medication management and therapeutic interventions, with a strong emphasis on patient-centered care and collaboration across clinical teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive psychiatric assessments and develop individualized treatment plans
- Prescribe and manage psychotropic medications, monitoring efficacy and side effects
- Provide psychotherapy or refer to appropriate therapeutic services as needed
- Collaborate with psychologists, social workers, primary care providers, and other specialists
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic health record (EHR)
- Participate in case conferences, peer reviews, and quality improvement initiatives
- Stay current with best practices, emerging treatments, and continuing education requirements
- Educate patients and families about mental health conditions and treatment options
Qualifications
- Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution
- Board certification in Psychiatry (or board eligibility)
- Valid and unrestricted medical license in Texas.
- DEA certification for prescribing controlled substances
- Strong clinical judgment and interpersonal communication skills
- Experience with diverse populations and evidence-based psychiatric care
- Proficiency in EHR systems and telepsychiatry platforms (if applicable)
Preferred Skills
- Subspecialty training (e.g., Child & Adolescent, Geriatric, Addiction Psychiatry)
- Bilingual or multilingual capabilities
- Experience in outpatient, inpatient, or integrated care settings
- Familiarity with trauma-informed care and culturally competent practices
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $150.00 - $200.00 per hour
Expected hours: 10 – 20 per week
