What We Are Looking For The Purchasing Specialist will be responsible for purchasing for our USA, Canadian and Asian supply chains by placing purchase orders. A key part of this role will be to drive and execute our purchasing processes according to the S&OP plan and will involve close interaction with factories to ensure timely delivery of our products. This role will also include close interaction with our internal sales teams and supply chain personnel. A strong work ethic and good interpersonal skills are important. The candidate should also have experience of analytics and ERP systems.
Responsibilities
- Supporting the purchasing functions of the company
- Reporting & Data analytics
- Coordinate factory activities and logistics
- Close interaction with internal and external teams
Education and Skills
- Previous experience in supply chain, logistics, procurement, or purchasing roles
- Ability to effectively communicate objectives with factories and freight forwarders
- Strong follow up to ensure company needs are met as directed
- Ability to multitask by managing multiple projects and deadlines
- Strong at decision making and setting priorities
- Advanced knowledge of Excel
