Morningstar Living is currently hiring a Part-Time Receptionist to join our team at our Moravian Hall Square campus in Nazareth, PA.

In this role, you’ll often be the first point of contact for residents, families, visitors, and team members, helping create a warm and welcoming experience for everyone who walks through our doors. The primary purpose of the Part-time weekday Receptionist position is to be responsible for the day-time operations of the front desk reception area, including console telephone system operation, greeting and assisting visitors, typing, copying, mail and UPS services. Also, this position will be responsible for other clerical support in accordance with established procedures and as directed by the Front Office Manager


What will I do in the role of Receptionist?

  • Provides a welcoming environment for visitors, guests, residents and sales representatives and directs them to the appropriate office and/or resident room.
  • Ensures guests/visitors abide by existing rules and refuse admission to persons as directed.
  • Reports any suspicious persons/information to supervisor immediately.
  • Answers telephone, determines the nature of the call and directs caller to the appropriate individual or department.
  • Receives requests from within the facility and locates personnel through paging system.
  • Operates and maintains all office equipment (copier, postage machine, personal computer, etc.) as directed.
  • Assist other departments in any administrative matters (i.e. typing reports, correspondence, etc.). Proof and correct all materials before distribution.
  • Responsible for maintaining one of our contact databases
  • Keeps electronic master calendar up to date by scheduling room requests for the community

What do I need in the role of Receptionist?

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • At least one year experience in a high volume reception area.
  • Exhibits a positive customer service attitude which includes respect, friendliness and willingness to assist others, and a consistent completion of job duties.
  • Proven computer skills in Microsoft 365 including, Word, Outlook, Excel and other specialized software.
  • Communication skills that include careful listening, thoughtful responses, and accurate reporting to appropriate people.
