Full service salon & day spa is seeking to add a high-caliber front desk receptionist to join our team!
The ideal candidate will be energetic & enthusiastic towards their work & others, have a positive, pleasant & professional demeanor, have a high level of ambition, have extreme attention to detail, a problem solver, have the ability to adapt, and able to handle multitasking under pressure in a fast paced environment but also be able to act as a self-starter, is productive, efficient, and able to apply his/herself during down time.
Job responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
Oversee day-to-day operations-
- Greeting clients- promote positive guest relations at all times, you are responsible for making a great first & last impression with everyone. You will be the first person clients see when they walk in through our door & the last before they leave
- Maintaining complete knowledge of all front desk procedures, services, pricing, salon policies, service procedures, packages, promotions. Answer all client questions
- Answering phones, checking voicemail/e-mail & responding accordingly
- Scheduling appointments, facilitating confirmation calls & phone calls to clients
- Checking in clients, checking-out clients, pre-booking clients, upselling products, and services, ensuring each client is satisfied with services etc.
- Facilitate & maintain a high class, professional, inviting environment. Keep reception area tidy & presentable at all times, keeping the desk organized
- Anticipate/receive guest or employee needs & accommodate accordingly
- Ensure that all complaints are reported to upper management as they arise & are resolved in a timely manner
- Maintaining/tracking inventory, assisting with ordering & scheduling as needed
- Assisting in other operational needs of business to ensure that daily operations run smoothly
Marketing focus-
- Develop promotions & marketing campaigns for the salon & spa as instructed by upper management
- Tactfully cross-marketing products & services with client education & upselling
- Work closely with service providers & department managers to assist them in the success of employee & departmental goals
- Calling clientele for client relationship management purposes, follow up calls, and client calls pertaining to special events
- Create & disseminate social media campaigns including all social media channels, e-mails, blogs, website content, and print marketing materials
- Reporting pertinent information impacting business operations & organizational growth or succession gaps to upper management
The successful candidate must have the following attributes:
- Previous salon or spa experience strongly preferred (experience with Meevo, Meevo2, or Millennium a plus
- Strong leadership, management, administrative, organizational and problem solving skills
- Able to work both independently & as a team
- Able to work under pressure in a fast paced environment
- Strong computer skills, ability to learn new programs & platforms
- Must be motivated, enthusiastic self-starter
- Ability to take direction & follow through on tasks
- Excellent communication skills -- verbal and written
- Positive energy and professionalism
- Experience in a front desk reception/ salon experience preferred
- High School Diploma/GED required
- Knowledge of social media, email and online marketing and communications a plus
- Second language proficiency (particularly Spanish) a plus
Job Types: Part-time, Full-time
Pay: $13.00 - $15.00 per hour
