Part-Time SAT Math Teacher/Tutor

About the Role

We are seeking a Part-Time SAT Math Teacher / Tutor to support students in preparing for the Digital SAT at our learning center. This role is ideal for an experienced SAT math educator who understands the exam well, knows how to identify student weaknesses, and can provide targeted strategies to help students improve.

We are looking for someone who not only has strong SAT math teaching experience, but can also engage students effectively, maintain a focused classroom, and create a positive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Teach SAT Math lessons aligned with the current Digital SAT format, question types, and test strategies
  • Identify student weaknesses and provide targeted support to improve performance
  • Track student progress and adjust instruction based on student needs
  • Deliver clear, engaging, and structured lessons that build both skill and confidence
  • Maintain strong classroom management and keep students focused and involved
  • Create a positive and productive learning environment
  • Communicate with center leadership regarding student progress and instructional needs
  • Support students in strengthening test-taking strategies, pacing, and problem-solving skills

Qualifications

  • Must have prior SAT Math teaching or tutoring experience
  • Strong familiarity with the Digital SAT, including current format, question types, and exam expectations
  • Proven ability to help students improve through focused instruction and targeted academic support
  • Strong classroom presence and ability to engage students effectively
  • Strong classroom management skills and ability to maintain student focus
  • Ability to recognize student learning gaps and offer practical improvement strategies
  • Clear and effective communication skills
  • Experience teaching high school students in a tutoring, test prep, or academic support setting preferred

Schedule

  • Summer schedule: min 2 days per week
  • 3 hours per class/session
  • Typical teaching times: 10:00 AM–1:00 PM, or 2:00 PM–5:00 PM
  • Additional teaching hours may become available based on demand

Pay: $60.00 - $80.00 per hour
