Part-Time Server – Family-Owned Greek Restaurant in Cambridge (East Cambridge)

Overview

Desfina, a family-owned Greek restaurant in East Cambridge, is seeking an experienced and enthusiastic part-time Server/Bartender to join our front-of-house team. In this role, you will create memorable dining experiences by providing attentive, friendly, and efficient service in a lively neighborhood setting.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests with warmth and professionalism; present menus and offer recommendations
• Take food and beverage orders accurately using the POS system
• Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages (bartending duties)
• Deliver food and drinks promptly with attention to detail and presentation
• Maintain knowledge of menu items, ingredients, and preparation methods
• Communicate effectively with the kitchen staff to ensure accurate and timely orders
• Handle guest questions, concerns, or special requests in a professional manner
• Keep tables, dining areas, and service stations clean and organized
• Follow sanitation and food safety guidelines
• Process payments accurately (cash and card transactions)

Qualifications

• Previous serving and/or bartending experience required
• Strong customer service and communication skills
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
• Familiarity with POS systems is a plus
• Must be 18+ and authorized to work in the U.S.
• Evening and weekend availability preferred

Schedule

• Morning shifts: Monday–Friday, 10:00 AM – 4:00 PM
