Part-time Simulation Lab Assistant

Assist with all functions of the simulation laboratory in Poplar Bluff.

Responsibilities include but not limited to:

Assist in cleaning and maintaining all laboratory equipment.
Report all broken or malfunctional equipment and supplies to the Simulation Coordinator.
Maintain the Nursing Skills and Simulation Laboratories (Poplar Bluff and Sikeston) in good working condition.
Assist with inventory of laboratory equipment and supplies.
Run the high-fidelity simulation experiences providing feedback to students on their performance in debriefing.
Maintain records detailing simulation experiences for students.
Provide faculty with overall report of students’ strengths and weaknesses identified in the Simulation Laboratory.
Assist faculty with Nursing Skills Laboratory checkoffs.
Maintain professional development activities regarding simulation with the faculty.
Assist faculty with laboratory set-up and breakdown.
Perform all other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Associate degree in nursing required; bachelor’s degree preferred. A minimum of two years’ clinical experience required. Medical Surgical nursing background preferred. Salary range is $30.00 per hour. Not to exceed 19.5 hours per week.
