POSITION PURPOSE: Provide direct care and work with the treatment team to implement Sanctuary trauma-informed programs designed to meet the physical, developmental, and emotional needs of children (basic through specialized levels of care) in basic care.

EMPLOYMENT STATUS: Part Time, Non-Exempt, Open Availability
HOURLY: $15.00

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum of one year experience with emotionally troubled childrenFull Job Description

General Qualifications for All Employees of The Children’s Home of Lubbock:

  • Must be 21 years of age per licensing standards.
  • Be able to read, write and communicate with co-workers, medical personnel and other persons necessary to care for the young adult’s needs.
  • Have a Valid Texas Driver’s License.
  • Exhibit behavior and health status that does not present a danger to young adult in care.
  • Meet the requirements of licensing standards in regards to a criminal background check.
  • Be physically, mentally and emotionally capable of performing assigned tasks and have the skills necessary to perform assigned tasks.
  • Commit to the seven values of Sanctuary: Non-Violence, Emotional Intelligence, Social Learning, Democracy, Open Communication, Social Responsibility, and Growth and Change.
  • Complete a notarized Licensing Affidavit for Applicants for Employment

Applicants must submit the last five years of employment history.
