Part Time Special Educator / Intensive Reading

Green Mountain Union High School (part of Two Rivers Supervisory Union) is looking for a dynamic teacher in special education to provide intensive reading services for students in grades seven through nine This is a position is open for the current school year.

The special educator will provide individual and small group instruction for identified students. The goal will be to develop proficient reading skills that will contribute to their academic growth. The special educator will also provide consultation to staff to design methods of learning that are most appropriate for each child.

The candidate will have a basic understanding and knowledge of current technology in reading instruction as well as knowledge of current trends, research and best practices relating to reading instructions.

The candidate must hold or be eligible to receive certification as a special educator in Vermont. A master’s degree is preferred.
