This is a truly loving, involved family looking for an extra set of hands to support their afternoons. They have two wonderful children, including a very sweet 8-year-old boy who is on the autism spectrum and nonspeaking. He understands a great deal and is able to communicate in his own ways, and he thrives with patient, engaging, one-on-one care.
Both parents are incredibly hands-on and present, but with an older sibling’s activities and busy afternoons, they are looking for someone who can step in as a calm, confident support, and become a trusted part of their family rhythm.
- The ideal candidate will
- -Have experience working with children with special needs (autism experience strongly preferred)
- -Be patient, engaging, and comfortable supporting a nonspeaking child
- -Enjoy one-on-one interaction and building meaningful connections
- -Be flexible and willing to help where needed
- -Feel comfortable with light household tasks as part of a shared-care environment
- -Responsibilities may also include light household support and occasional help with transportation for the older sibling when needed.
- Benefits
- -Paid Time Off (PTO)
- -Gas reimbursement (TBD)
- -The opportunity to work closely with kind, appreciative parents
- -A supportive, collaborative home environment
- This is a perfect opportunity for someone who wants to be part of a genuinely loving family and make a meaningful difference in a child’s daily life. If you’re someone who finds joy in connection, patience, and being an extra pair of hands for a family who truly values support, this role could be a wonderful fit.
