Part-Time Special Needs Caregiver/Mentor $32/hr

A warm and supportive family in Landenberg, PA is seeking a reliable and experienced caregiver to provide consistent after-school mentorship and care for their elementary-aged child with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and ADHD.

They are looking for someone who can confidently lead afternoon routines while building a strong, positive relationship in a structured and supportive environment.

Schedule & Compensation

• Monday–Friday, 2:00 PM – 6:00 PM guaranteed hours at $32/hour
• Mileage reimbursement provided

Responsibilities

• School pickup
• Leading structured after-school routines
• Supporting emotional regulation and transitions
• Engaging in active, hands-on play (outdoor activities, sports, building projects, or creative/STEM activities encouraged)
• Homework support and skill-building

The caregiver will serve as a positive role model and steady presence in the child’s daily life.

Ideal Candidate

• Experience with Autism, ADHD, or neurodiverse children
• Background in special education, ABA, psychology, youth coaching, behavioral health, or related fields
• Calm, confident, and proactive
• CPR/First Aid certified
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
• Willing to complete background screening
• Interested in a long-term role

Experience:

• ABA/RBT/Special Education/Behavioral Health/Youth Coaching: 2 years (Preferred)
• Autism and/or ADHD: 2 years (Required)

License/Certification:
