Part-Time Speech Language Pathologist - Home Care

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Speech Language Pathologist to join our team. In this role, you will assess, diagnose, and treat speech and language disorders in patients of various ages, with a focus on providing high-quality care and support to enhance communication abilities. You will work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals, educators, and families to develop individualized treatment plans that promote effective communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough patient assessments to evaluate speech and language abilities.
  • Develop and implement personalized treatment plans based on patient needs and goals.
  • Provide speech therapy services to individuals, including children in school settings and patients requiring early intervention.
  • Utilize knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology to inform treatment approaches.
  • Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary to ensure optimal outcomes.
  • Educate patients, families, and caregivers about speech and language disorders and effective communication strategies.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate comprehensive patient care.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of patient assessments, treatment plans, and progress notes.

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
  • Valid state licensure or certification as a Speech Language Pathologist.
  • Strong knowledge of anatomy and physiology related to speech production.
  • Experience in early intervention techniques is preferred.
  • Familiarity with pediatric speech therapy practices is highly desirable.
  • Proficiency in medical terminology relevant to speech-language pathology.
  • Excellent patient assessment skills with a focus on individualized care.
  • Ability to work effectively in both clinical and school environments.
  • Strong communication skills for collaboration with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.

Job Types: Full-time, PRN, Per diem

Pay: $39.21 - $47.22 per hour
