Part Time Tasting Room Associate - Includes Food Service

Refugio Ranch Vineyards, a Gleason Family Vineyards brand, is seeking a hard-working, enthusiastic individual who has experience in hospitality to join our exciting and successful tasting room team. Individual must possess a positive attitude, be self-motivated, organized, and eager to create a stellar guest experience, while generating tasting room sales and wine club joins. Previous wine knowledge highly recommended, but is not required.

We are looking for a Part-Time Tasting Room Associate to join our team at our Los Olivos, CA location. The ideal candidate will be responsible for assisting customers and team members with their needs and facilitating their wine and food experience.

Tasting Room Sales Associate responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

· Sell wine effectively, promote and sign up members to our wine club, communicating benefits and policies appropriately

· Take food orders and communicate them to the kitchen for our guests.

· Set up for and pour wine for various groups, communicating and educating guests on the brand value of Roblar and its wines

· Educate guests on Santa Barbara County and wine in general

· Assist in general tasting room maintenance, like glass washing, drying and restocking, cleaning up spills, etc.

· Perform daily tasting room duties, including stocking wine, glasses and merchandise, preparing the space for guests, and opening and closing registers

· Follow company policies and protocols

· Complete projects and additional duties requested by Supervisor or Management

Requirements:

· 21 years of age or over

· Able to lift 50 pounds (a case of wine)

· Able to stand and/or walk for extended period of time

· Previous tasting room/winery and/or sales/hospitality experience

· Basic wine knowledge a plus

· Professional appearance and demeanor

Compensation:

· In addition to hourly compensation, lucrative tips and wine club sign up commissions are included.

Wage: $16.90 per hour plus commission and tips
