Duties

  • Adapt teaching strategies to accommodate students with disabilities or special education needs, ensuring inclusive classroom experiences.
  • Employ effective classroom management techniques to foster a positive, respectful learning environment conducive to language acquisition.
  • Assess student progress through standardized testing, formative assessments, and ongoing observations; adjust instruction accordingly.
  • Support literacy education by developing reading, writing, listening, and speaking skills through targeted activities and tutoring sessions.
  • Collaborate with colleagues on lesson planning, curriculum enhancement, and integrating innovative learning technologies to enrich student experiences.

Skills

  • Strong background in curriculum development tailored for English Language Learners and diverse classroom settings.
  • Proficiency with Learning Management Systems (LMS) and familiarity with various learning technologies to enhance instruction.
  • Experience working with children with disabilities or special education requirements; knowledge of childhood development principles.
  • Excellent classroom management and behavior management skills to maintain a productive learning environment.
  • Proven ability in lesson planning that aligns with educational standards and individual student needs.
  • Expertise in literacy education, math integration, and standardized testing preparation for ELL students.
  • Exceptional communication skills for working effectively with students, parents, colleagues, and community partners; strong writing skills for documentation and reporting purposes.
  • Prior classroom experience in private schools or Montessori settings is a plus; familiarity with library services can support resource-based learning initiatives.
