Si-Ware Systems is seeking a Technical Writer to develop and maintain high-quality user manuals, service guides, and technical documentation for our advanced sensing and analytical solutions. The role involves translating complex technical information into clear, user-friendly materials that enable customers, field engineers, and integrators to effectively operate and maintain Si-Ware products.

You will work closely with hardware, firmware, and software teams to ensure documentation accuracy and consistency across all product lines and releases.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, write, and update installation, operation, calibration, and maintenance manuals for Si-Ware’s sensing systems hardware and associated software tools.
  • Gather information from subject matter experts (SMEs) including engineers, product managers, and application scientists.
  • Create step-by-step procedures, diagrams, and technical illustrations to enhance comprehension and usability.
  • Maintain a consistent structure, format, and style in line with Si-Ware’s documentation standards and branding guidelines.
  • Prepare service and troubleshooting guides for technical support and field teams.
  • Ensure all documentation meets ISO 9001 quality standards and complies with applicable safety and regulatory requirements (e.g., CE, FCC, RoHS).
  • 3+ years of experience as a Technical Writer, ideally within the instrumentation, semiconductors, or analytical equipment industry.
  • Proven track record producing hardware and software manuals, including user, installation, and maintenance documentation.
  • Strong command of English, with excellent technical writing and editing skills.
  • Proficiency in documentation tools such as Adobe FrameMaker, Microsoft Word, MadCap Flare, or Confluence.
  • Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git) and content management systems (CMS).
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, electrical schematics, and firmware documentation.
  • Working knowledge of optical systems, spectroscopy principles, or embedded devices is a plus.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple concurrent projects.
