Part Time Teller

Description

The Part-Time Teller Representative will be responsible for accurately processing financial transactions and being an effective source of information for members: in the lobby, drive-thru window, or by telephone. They will provide friendly, professional, confidential, and effective assistance to members and employees assuring a positive experience and minimizing wait time.

Essential Functions & Duties

• Demonstrates efficiency with financial transactions for checking, savings, and borrowing customers: receives funds, posts transactions, pays out funds as requested, and verbally confirms intended transactions with members to assure needs are met and minimize reversals.
• Balances cash drawer daily to assure accuracy in transactions and notifies supervisor regarding any outages, while appropriately applying policies.
• Researches, troubleshoots, and resolves member and internal inquiries regarding policies, practices, and products.
• Issues Cashier Checks and money orders, receives currency for coins and verifies amounts, cashes checks according to written procedures.
• Receives loan payments and savings/share deposits from members, addresses inquiries on accounts, records amounts and dates of payments and other significant information, checks customer calculations, and validates checks and/or counts cash payments.
• Assists other departments and branches with transactions as needed, provides support for the department and branch managers in fulfilling member requests and merchant verifications.

- Must comply with all company policies and procedures, applicable laws and regulations, including but not limited to, the Bank Secrecy Act, the Patriot Act, and the Office of Foreign Assets Control.

Education

Required

High School or better.

Experience

Required

1 year: Cash handling and customer service experience is strongly preferred

Rotating Saturdays will required.

Pay: $10.00 - $14.00 per hour

• Monday to Friday
• Weekends as needed
