Part Time to Full Time Flex Flatbed Truck Driver w/Forklift

Job Overview
SLD Transport, Inc. is seeking a skilled Class A CDL Flatbed drivers to help us grow our fleet. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting a variety of materials and utilize a truck-mounted forklift(Moffett, Princeton, etc).

This role requires a strong, performance-based, driving with the ability to load/unload materials in a DOT compliant manner. The candidate will meet a graded on a number of scorecard based metrics including: Attendance, fuel efficiency, safety, idle time and a few other metrics while ensuring timely delivery and excellent customer service.

Duties

• Operate your recently purchased Mack truck in a safe and efficient manner.
• Load and unload cargo as required, ensuring proper handling of materials with a Truck-Mounted Forklift (Moffett, Princeton, etc).
• Follow designated routes and schedules to ensure timely deliveries.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the truck to ensure safety and compliance with regulations.
• Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, fuel usage, and other required documentation.
• Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers regarding delivery status and any issues that may arise.
• Adhere to all traffic laws and company policies while on the road.
• Operate forklifts as needed for loading and unloading cargo.

Requirements:

• Valid commercial driver's license (CDL - Class A) 2 years of driving experience with 6 months of flatbed experience.
• Proven experience in truck driving with a strong understanding of route driving principles and a commitment to quality.
• Experience with load/unload procedures and equipment operation (e.g., forklifts).
• Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently while maintaining a high level of professionalism.
• Must pass background checks and adhere to safety regulations at all times including random drug tests.
• Flexibility to work various shifts as needed based on delivery schedules.

Pay: $24.00 - $27.00 per hour
