Part-Time Transportation Specialist

Location: Hempstead NY | Salary: $20-22/Hour | Schedule: Part-Time, 28 hours per week

The Opportunity

Make a difference in the lives of people and your community by helping them access services. The Transportation Specialist will be responsible for assisting and coordinating transportation for individuals to Family & Children's Association's Certified Community Behavioral Health Center for treatment services. The Transportation Specialist will provide direct services to clients by using a company van to transport individuals to the centers after being discharged from the hospital. The position includes helping oversee and support the agency food pantries.

Responsibilities

• Transport individuals to FCA site locations for services.
• Ensure the safe, timely and accurate transport of clients to their destination by assisting them with scheduling transportation services.
• Monitor and facilitate the purchasing and distribution of OMNY cards.
• Communicate effectively with treatment team, other service providers, and clients.
• Enter notes and data into agency required charts and dashboards.
• Assist with maintaining and overseeing agency food pantries.
• Adhere to facility confidentiality and patient's rights policy as outlined in the facilities HIPPA policies and procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Valid and clean Driver's License.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
