Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain the field surface, including mowing, edging, and turf grooming to ensure optimal playing conditions.
• Use hand tools, power tools, and landscaping equipment to perform routine groundskeeping tasks such as trimming, aerating, and fertilizing.
• Assist with irrigation system checks, repairs, and adjustments to keep the field properly watered and healthy.
• Conduct regular inspections of the grounds to identify areas needing repair or upkeep, ensuring safety and aesthetic standards are met.
• Collaborate with team members to set up for game days by installing bases, mound preparations, and other field configurations.
• Maintain all groundskeeping equipment through proper cleaning, storage, and basic repairs using hand tools and power tools.

Requirements

• Prior experience or interest in lawn care, landscaping, gardening, or horticulture is preferred but not required.
• Ability to operate hand tools, power tools, lawnmowers, trimmers, and irrigation equipment safely and effectively.
• Strong attention to detail with a proactive approach to maintaining high standards of field quality.
• Physical stamina to stand, walk, bend, lift heavy objects, and perform outdoor work in various weather conditions.
• Excellent teamwork skills with a positive attitude; ability to follow instructions clearly.
